What to do if your Sightmark Wraith Freezes
If your Sightmark Wraith display freezes, locks up or you experience a red screen, here are some solutions and ways to troubleshoot before you send it in under warranty.
For HD models (SM18021 or SM18011) And Wraith 4K Mini (SM18041):
There are two options for troubleshooting on the HD models...
- Method 1: Remove the batteries and let unit sit for approximately 30 mins to let unit conduct a soft, internal reset. Then reinstall the batteries in the correct orientation and tighten the battery cap down fully. Power the unit and check to see if the unit is operational. If the unit works then the problem is resolved.
- Method 2: Using an external power source, plug into the USB port on the front of the scope and turn your unit on. Open the menu, and select the settings option and then select restore to default settings. (*Note, this will delete your saved zero(s) on the unit)
After the unit has been reset, this should correct the issue. If the issue is not resolved, please call our tech support team at 817-383-1163 from 8am-5pm CST or fill out a Warranty Return Authorization form.
For Wraith 4K Max Models (SM18030):
On the top of the unit there is a small, recessed rectangular-shaped box with a small hole that contains a reset button. Carefully take a pushpin or small paperclip and push down on that button until you feel it click. Hold this for approximately 3 seconds and the unit will reset. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to contact tech support.
