Micro SD Card Common Faults
Q: My Micro SD card is brand new out of the box and it showing full. What could be the issue?
A: Even though your Micro SD card is new it will still need to be formatted. This can be done with either a PC, Laptop or on the Scope itself.
For PCs and Laptops:
Insert the SD card into the PC card reader slot, typically designated by "SD/XD" or other types of memory cards. Open Explorer by right-clicking on the Windows "Start" button. Click on the drive letter that represents the SD card reader to see the files stored on the card. Once there, there will be an optic to format the card.
On the scope:
Insert the SD card into the scope and ensure it is properly seated by the click that is felt. Power the unit on and open the Settings menu. Select Factory Reset. Scroll over from reset to Format Memory Card. The unit will prompt you to choose to format the memory card and to proceed forward you will need to ensure the cursor is selected on the check mark, highlighted in orange. You will then be advised that "Formatting the memory card will delete all files, is this okay?" You will then need to ensure the orange check mark is highlighted again and then confirm. The scope will prompt you with a completed status after the memory card is successfully formatted.
Q: I've formatted a used Memory Card but the card still is reading full/not reading on the scope.
A: The Memory Card is corrupt and a replacement card will have to be used to purchased.
