What is the difference in FMS and LQD?

FMS and LQD are acronyms for the mounting system that some of our optic offer. FMS means fixed mounting system. LQD means locking quick detach.

An FMS optic is more traditional in design as the optic is secured to the firearm with mounting screws.

LQD models use a locking quick detach lever that allows users to take their optic off and on quickly but return the optic to zero once mounted back.

Both are reliable sources for mounting an optic to a firearm, user preference typically dictates which models people choose when purchasing these optics. Typically, an FMS mount requires a tool to take on and off, while an LQD mount does not.
